Prediction.

I am reading The House Advantage in Japanese, and am pondering about prediction. In the book, it talks a lot about the mathematical aspects of winning Blackjack and sports betting. No, I am not thinking about gambling, but rather the finance and economics aspect of prediction. Are there good ways of making prediction about other things? Well, I will be certainly thinking about it a lot in 2012.
